The forged suspension member 1f is mounted to a supporting member constituting a suspension of an automobile via a stud bolt. A joint section 2f of the forged suspension member has one end surface section 3f, the other end surface section 4f, and a side surface section 5f. The parting line P1 on the joint section has, on the rim side of the one end surface section 3f defining a projecting side of the stud bolt, a vertical side surface CS or a vertical line formed in parallel with the neutral direction SN of the stud bolt.
