Abstract:
To solve the problem that although measuring suspension characteristics is inevitable in the design, performance assessment and simulation of a suspension, conventional suspension measuring devices are large-scale and expensive facilities.SOLUTION: In the present invention, a measurement plane parallel to a rotation surface of a tire is set on a wheel of the tire. A device for measuring the movement of the measurement plane is provided. An existing inexpensive sensor can be used to measure the movement of the measurement plane. Toe angle, camber angle, and roll center values can be measured from measured values of the movement in the direction perpendicular to the surface of the measurement plane. The characteristics of anti-dive, anti-lift, and anti-squat can be measured from the movement of the measurement plane in a plane parallel direction. Regarding the measurement of the toe angle and the camber angle, the measurement on a table and during traveling can be performed by the same facility of the present invention.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
