Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the operating stability of a car by determining running and road surface states from a steering signal, a brake signal, a vertical oscillation acceleration, and intermediate and high speeds signals and controlling the spring constant of a bush according to the car speed. CONSTITUTION:A vertical oscillation acceleration signal 1 is input to an AND circuit 12 through a bandpass filter 6, a comparator 7, and a delay circuit 8 and a steering signal 2 and a brake signal 3 are input to it through an OR circuit 11. These signals are processed together with a high speed signal 4 exceeding intermediate speed and output to an OR circuit 13. A high speed signal 5 is input to the OR circuit 13 and determines the road surface and running states. The signal 5 also controls solenoids 42 and 41 so as to decrease the spring constant of a bush at bad road, cornering, brake operation, and low speed and at good road, straight drive, no-brake, and intermediate speed and to increase it at other times. As a result, comfortability to drive a car and its operating stability can be ensured and improved.
