Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent weight from being added to an unsprung load, and improve a following performance by respectively fixing slide rails and a front part of a rear cushion unit pivotally to a rear part and a front part of swing arms, and connecting a rear lower end part of the rear cushion unit to frames through a progressive link means.
CONSTITUTION: Front end parts of swing arms 42 and 42 are pivoted to an intermediate part between main frames 1 and 1, and a triangular link 44 is supported with the shaft 43. A front end part of a rear cushion unit 45 composed of a hydraulic shock absorber 45a and a suspension spring 45b is connected to the front end parts of the swing arms 42 and 42. A rear end part of the rear cushion unit 45 is connected to one corner part of the triangular link 44, and the swing arms 42 and 42 are connected to the main frames 1 and 1 by it and a link 48 installed on a cross pipe 47. As positions of slide rails 57 and 58 become high while traveling, damping force of the hydraulic shock absorber 45a also becomes large, so that a progressive link mechanism is realized.
