PURPOSE: To secure both of the riding comfortableness and the steering stability with a simple constitution of the suspension device for a vehicle which can improve both of the performance and the riding comfortableness by using a buffer.

CONSTITUTION: The suspension device is equipped with the upper and lower arms 4 and 5 which support wheels 9 in a swingable manner on a car body 2, hydraulic buffer 8 installed between the car body 2 and the lower arm 5, and a gas type buffer 7 which is installed between the car body 2 and the lower arm 5, and the damping characteristics of the gas type buffer 7 is set so as to produce a higher damping force when the piston speed is lower, and the damping characteristics of a hydraulic buffer 8 are set so as to produce the damping force necessary at the higher speed.
