The suspension device A comprises a shock absorber S including a motion converting mechanism H converting relative motion of a vehicle body-side member and an axle-side member to rotational motion and a motor M provided with a rotor 8 to which the rotational motion is transmitted; and the gas spring C interposed between the vehicle body-side member and the axle-side member. The inside of a hollow casing 9 storing a stator 17 and the rotor 8 of the motor M is allowed to communicate with a gas chamber R of the gas spring C, and a wire 32 of the motor M is guided out of the suspension device A through the gas chamber R.
