Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspension device capable of improving ride quality.SOLUTION: A suspension device 1 for connecting a spring upper member 2 and a spring lower member 3 of a vehicle includes an elastic member 7 provided at a position in series to a friction force generating member which generates friction force along the direction of a stroke, and having a spring coefficient set depending on the maximum static friction force of the friction force generating member. The spring coefficient of the elastic member 7 is typically set so that, in the state that generated force generated by the elastic member 7 is not greater than the maximum static friction force, the magnitude of the friction force generated by the friction force generating member is a magnitude equivalent to the generated force generated by the elastic member 7, and in the state that the generated force generated by the elastic member 7 is greater than the maximum static friction force, the magnitude of the friction force generated by the friction force generating member is a magnitude equivalent to the maximum static friction force. Thus, the suspension device 1 can effectively improve ride quality.
