Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce changeover frequency by providing a controller with which the rotational moving quantity of a rotary valve to change to open/close respective communicating holes is controlled according to a vehicle speed, so as to make hard one of compression side damping force or extension side damping force and make soft the other or both.
CONSTITUTION: A controller controls the rotational moving quantity of a rotary valve 24 so as to open/close communicating holes 63, 64, 65 on the extension side and the compression side. By the opening/closing operation at this time, the damping force on the compression side is made soft when the damping force on the extension side is hard, the damping force on the compression side is made hard when the damping force on the extension side is soft, or both the extension side damping force and the compression side damping force are made soft. Hereby, changeover frequency of damping force is reduced so as to improve durability of apparatuses, and a vehicle floor height sensor is unnecessary so as to constitute the system at a cheap price.
