Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress vibrations caused by the torsion of a body.
SOLUTION: This suspension device is characterized in that right and left shock absorbers 20 are tilted so that the axes K of the right and left shock absorbers cross each other at or near the center T of torsion of the vehicle body 3 on the cross section of the vehicle body 3. The distance between the axis K of each shock absorber 20 and the center T of torsion of the body 3 assumes a zero or small value. Moment about the center T of torsion caused by forces applied to the body 3 from right and left wheels 2 via the shock absorbers 20 assumes a zero or very small value and the body 3 resists torsion.
