Title:
SUSPENSION INSTALLATION METHOD AND JIG
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3033800
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To facilitate installation of a suspension and to perform reliable assembly of the suspension to a body in a state that the load of 1d (gravity) is exerted on a damper unit, namely by means of a load responding to an actual car state.
CONSTITUTION: A jig is set to a damper fork 3 and a lower arm 6 and fixed at a given angle between the damper fork 3 and the lower arm 6. Meanwhile, a damper unit 1 to which an upper arm 5 and a coil spring 2 are attached is assembled to a body 11. By raising the damper fork 3, the damper unit 1 is inserted in the damper fork 3, and the upper arm 5 and a knuckle 4 assembled on the low arm 6 side, between which a given clearance is produced, are fixed to each other so that the clearance is reduced to zeror.
