Title:
SUSPENSION SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2003106366
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To cope with both a steering stability of a vehicle and reduction of vibration, noises, and harshness in a strut type suspension system of an automobile.

In the suspension system 21, a pointed head portion of a piston rod 10 of a shock absorber 6 is elastically installed on a body via a strut mount 11. A dynamic absorber 22 consisted of rubber 23 and a weight 24 is installed on a strut stopper 12 that is installed on the pointed head portion of the piston rod 10. A toe-out property is given to a lateral-force compliance steer by lessening rigidity of the strut mount 11 at a right and left direction, and a straight driving property of the vehicle is improved. An occurrence of low-frequency muffled noises is restrained in such a way that approximately 20 to 40 Hz of vibrations at a right and left direction, which is generated in the shock absorber 6, is absorbed by the dynamic absorber 22.
