PURPOSE: To avoid interference of a twist beam and a propeller shaft without changing alignment change characteristics in a suspension of twist beam type.

CONSTITUTION: A suspension of twist beam type is provided with a pair of trailing arms 10L and 10R and a twist beam 34 which extends in the lateral direction of vehicle and is connected with a pair of trailing arms at both ends between front end an rear end. The twist beam has a cross section which is opened upward and is curved upward at the center between both ends. It is possible to avoid interference of the twist beam and a propeller shaft by curving the twist beam upward and to avoid that the center of shear of the twist beam becomes too high due to the cross section which is opened upward.
