To provide a suspension type lightning protection insulator device which can prevent a suspension type lightning protection insulator set from being brought into contact with a tension insulator set, and also prevent the occurrence of any problem in connection with insulating cooporation.

Out of the grounding side horns 7 of a suspension type lightning protection insulator device 6 mounted between the jumper wire 3 of a tension resistant steel tower and a steel tower arm 1, a grounding side horn 7a at the side of an electric wire whose catenary angle is large, is made shorter than a grounding side horn 7b at the side of an electric wire whose catenary angle is small. By this constitution, a suspension type lightning protection insulator set 6 can be prevented from being brought into contact with a tension insulator set 2, and the occurrence of collapse in insulating cooporation can also be prevented, which is caused by a state that the grounding side horn 7 of the suspension type lightning protection insulator set 6 and the electrical charging side horn 5 of the tension insulator set 2 are abnormally approached to each other.
