In the suspension type moving device, a suspension holding part 20 for holding a conveyed object is lifted and lowered by a band material winding device part for winding and delivering a plurality of band materials 21. The suspension holding part 20 includes a suspension base body 23 having a substantially rectangular shape and suspended by the plurality of the band materials 21; a rotating and holding member 30 having a halfway part turnably attached to a pair of edges in symmetrical positions of the suspension base body 23, in contact with the conveyed object to hold it when a lower part is turned to an inner side; a turning and driving part 40 placed on the suspension base body 23, having a turning shaft 41 and a link connection part 42, and rotating the link connection part 42; and a pair of links 50 connected to an upper part 31 of the pair of the turning and holding members 30 and the link connection part 42.
