Title:
SUSPENSION FOR VEHICLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS60176803
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the cornering performance of a car in turning action by making interlocking joints to be shifted in accordance with a steering system, between the suspension springs and the car body, and tilt the car body correspondingly.

CONSTITUTION: The upper ends of suspension springs 141, 142 are attached to the both ends of a slider 13 with pivots 151, 152, and the lower ends are attached to the middle parts of lower arms 41, 42 with pivots 161, 162. As the pivots 151, 152 are supported by a car body 2 through the slider 13, they are considered to be the joints of the suspension springs with the car body. A rack 17 is formed in the middle of the slider 13, and a pinion 18, which is fixed to a steering shaft 19, is engaged with the rack 17. By the above, when the car is in turning action, the slider 13 is slid and moved by the revolutional action of the pinion 18, and the springs bring down the lower arm from the car body relatively, thus the car body is tilted.
