Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for recycling an electronic component removed from a printed wiring board, thereby extracting precious metal and base metal from the electronic component using an environmentally-friendly composition.SOLUTION: A method according to the present embodiment is a method of removing two or more kinds of metal from waste of electric/electronic equipment comprises the steps of: (a) contacting the waste of electric/electronic equipment with a first melt metal composition to form a first extraction liquid and a first extraction solid; (b) separating the first extraction solid from the first extraction liquid; (c) contacting the first extraction solid with a second melt metal composition to form a second extraction liquid and a second extraction solid; (d) separating the second extraction solid from the second extraction liquid, wherein the second extraction liquid contains a first metal ion; and (e) contacting the first extraction liquid with an additive to separate the second metal ion from a third metal ion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
