Abstract:
To obtain a sustained release composition which can control the releasing process of an active substance so as to conform to the purpose.
The sustained release composition containing at least a hydrogel-forming polymer which can form a hydrogel having a sol-gel transition temperature; a dispersing liquid; and the active substance, and also containing at least fine particles capable of revealing the sustained releasing property of the active substance by themselves, is provided. This composition is in a flowable sol state at a temperature lower than the sol-gel transition temperature, and reversibly in a hydrogel state at a temperature higher than the sol-gel transition temperature.
