Abstract:

To provide a sustained release substrate and its article having biodegradability and capable of optionally controlling release rate of an object ingredient of sustained release.

This sustained release substrate is characterized in that the substrate is obtained from an enzymic synthetic amylose having ≤60O kDa weight-average molecular weight and ≤1.25 (Mw/Mn) molecular weight distribution and/or its chemically modified substance and is capable of optionally controlling the release rate of the object ingredient of the sustained release. The sustained release article comprises an effective amount of the object ingredient of the sustained release therein.
