Title:
SUTURE NEEDLE COUNTER FOR OPERATION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2003235913
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an inexpensive suture needle counter for operation having storing fixing force, requiring no change of hands for holding a needle, and capable of checking the number of needles at one glance when counting ends without using a magnet.

A needle fixing body is a thin flat plate formed by forming wave- shaped recessed and projecting parts continuously and has a structure that a needle is inserted through a clearance between projecting parts and is dropped and fixed in the recessed part. A lateral bar overhangs from both sides of a bottom face of the recessed part of the needle fixing body to make a position where the needle is dropped clearly when viewed from above. A curve shape of the recessed part of the needle fixing body has a structure that coincides with a cross sectional shape of the needle so that the inserted needle adheres closely to a bottom face of a tray and falls down. When a lid is fully opened, and inner face of the tray is visible in a condition in which it is inclined to increase visual confirmation property of the fixed needle. The needle fixing body is molded by using a resin in such a way that it is slightly longer than a channel of the tray to increase holding force of the needle due to close adhesion of individual wave-shaped projecting parts. By providing projections on the bottom face of the tray and nipping the needle, stronger fixing force can be obtained.
