PURPOSE: To facilitate the operation to bond suture yarn to a needle material by forming a needle tip to be penetrated into a biotissue at one end, forming a hole for inserting the suture yarn at the other end face and bonding the suture yarn by an adhesive to this hole.
CONSTITUTION: The needle tip 1a to be penetrated into the biotissue is formed at one end of the needle material 1 consisting of steel, stainless steel, etc., such as piano wire and a body part 1b having a circular section is formed from this needle tip 1a. The hole 3 to be inserted with the suture yarn 2 is formed by drilling, laser beam processing, electric discharge machining, etc., on the other end face 1c of the needle tip 1. This hole 3 is formed by having the size corresponding to the size of the suture yarn 2 bonded to the needle tip 1. The suture yarn 2 is inserted and fitted into this hole 3 after the adhesive 4 is applied to this end, by which the suture needle A bonded with the suture yarn 2 and the needle tip 1 is constituted. As a result, the suture needle is easily obtd. without requiring a costly caulking device and the production cost is reduced.
