Abstract:
To provide a suture needle having a sufficient cutting sharpness (piercing effect) by determining the direction of a grinding part to the ridge line.
The grinding part 22 is formed in the orthogonal direction to the ridge lines 24 and 26 of cutting edges 16 and 18 on two surfaces being confronted with a cutting blade section 12 on the needle tip. Also, a polishing method and a polishing device, by which the grinding part 22 is efficiently formed by pressing the ridge lines 24 and 26 on the radius of a grinding surface by using a grinding element which rotates with an axis being orthogonal to the grinding surface as a pivot, are provided.
