A swarf removal mechanism 1 of a pallet seat includes a table-side pipe 34 provided in a table 3, and a pallet-side channel 22 provided on a pallet 2, having an inlet 22a at one end connectable with a discharging connection port of a table-side channel and also having an outlet 22b at the other end positioned around the seating surface of the pallet 2. When the pallet 2 is seated on the table 3, the discharging connection port 34b of the table-side pipe 34 (34A) is connected with the inlet 22a of the pallet-side channel 22, a coolant liquid C is made to flow from the table-side pipe 34 (34A) to the pallet-side channel 22, and the coolant liquid C is discharged from the outlet 22b of the pallet-side channel 22 toward around the seating surface of the table 3, thereby preventing the swarf from being caught between the pallet 2 and the table 3.
