Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve wear resistance of a swash plate by forming a thermally sprayed surface layer made of copper and copper alloys containing undissolving phases and aluminum and aluminum alloys containing dissolving phases on a sliding surface with at least a shoe of a substrate.
SOLUTION: A swash plate compressor is tiltingly mounted on a rotary shaft and a swash plate capable of changing a tilting angle performs compression/expansion by increasing or decreasing volume of compressed space according to rotation of the rotary shaft. In this case, a thermally sprayed surface layer having a complex tissue containing copper, copper alloys, aluminum and aluminum alloys, copper and copper alloys containing undissolving phases and aluminum and aluminum alloys contain dissolving phases is formed on a sliding surface with at least a shoe in a substrate of the swash plate. In the combination of favorable composite components, copper alloys are alloys containing Pb excellent in seizure resistance and aluminum alloys are alloys containing Si excellent in wear resistance. As a result, wear resistance of the swash plate is remarkably improved.
