Abstract:
PURPOSE: To effectively prevent uneven wear between a piston and a cylinder bore by suppressing the piston from tilt moving due to side force, by a useful method in a number of part items and manufacture, in a swash plate type compressor of single head piston type.
CONSTITUTION: A head top surface 19d of a single head-shaped piston 19 is provided to tilt at a predetermined angle for extending toward a centripetal direction from a circumscribed circle of each cylinder bore 1a arranged parallelly about a drive shaft 4. When a gas pressure compressing load acts on the top surface lad of the piston 19, component force of tending to tilt the piston 19 inward of the diametric direction acts, to counter against side force received by the piston 19 from a shoe 17. Since the piston 19 is suppressed from tilt moving, uneven wear due to nonuniform contact between the piston 19 and the cylinder bore 1a can be effectively prevented.
