Abstract:
To suppress the decrease in a life for a thrust bearing by a method wherein a load executed on the thrust bearing is reduced.
The sectional area on the operation chamber 39 side, formed on the external drive source side (the shaft seal 10 side), of the sectional area of a double-head piston 8 is formed in such a manner to be increased to a value higher than the sectional area of an operation chamber 38 side. This constitution approximately offsets an axial load, generated by a pressure difference between the inside and the outside of the operation chamber 38, with a working force exerted on the double-head piston 8 by a refrigerant in the two operation chambers 38 and 39.
