PURPOSE: To prevent the seizure of sliding surfaces of a shoe and a swash plate even if a swash plate compressor is run in such bad condition that a lubricant is stopped from being supplied temporarily, by composing one of the sliding surfaces of a basic material surface and a solid lubricant surface.
CONSTITUTION: The surface of the basic material 161 of a shoe 16 is provided with numerous projections and recesses so that the tips 161b of the projections 161a are located at the sliding surface of the shoe. A solid lubricant 162 is held in the recesses 161c of the basic material 161 of the shoe 16. The basic material 161 is the SUJ-2. The projections 161a and recesses 161c of the material 161 are made by chemical etching. The solid lubricant is made by binding molybdenum bisulfide and graphite with a phenolic adhesive.
