PURPOSE: To prevent the generation of seizure, by providing no cavity part, serving as an oil reservoir, only in one portion of a sliding surface in a swash plate, where a large load acts between a shoe and the swash plate, so as to prevent a decrease of a contact area in the portion with the large load acting between the shoe and the swash plate.
CONSTITUTION: A piston in a compressor is driven by a swash plate 5 through a shoe. This swash plate 5 provides in its relatively sliding surface of the shoe a plurality of cavity parts 20, 20 serving as an oil reservoir. The swash plate, not providing these cavity parts 20, 20 but forming a level surface in a portion 21 in the vicinity of a part where the piston comes to its compression top dead center, prevents the decrease of a contact area between the shoe and the swash plate 5.
