PURPOSE: To prevent seizure of pistons caused by fretting when the inclination angle of rotation of a swash plate is small, by forming a plurality of circumferential grooves in the form of waves or a spiral groove in the inner surface of each sleeve-like bush for guiding the sliding movement of pistons of the title fluid machine.
CONSTITUTION: In the titled fluid machine of this invention, a cylinder barrel 2, bushes 13, pistons 4 and piston shoes 5 are turned in a unitary manner along with rotation of a main shaft 1 and the piston shoes 5 are kept in sliding contact with a swash plate 6, whereby the pistons 4 are reciprocated over the stroke determined by the inclination angle of rotation of the swash plate 6 and pressurized fluid is discharged through a valve 7. In such an arrangement, a plurality of circumferential grooves 14 in the form of waves are formed in the inner surface of each bush 13 held in sliding contact with the outer surface of the piston 4 in the manner that they extend in the axial direction of the main shaft 1. These circumferential grooves 14 are formed such that their depths are small as compared with the pitch and the top end of each wave forms roundness R of a projection.
