PURPOSE: To perform the tilting operation of a swash plate so smoothly and accurately as well as aim at prolongation in its service life, by interposing plural rolling elements between a back part of a swash plate and an inner wall surface part of a casing.
CONSTITUTION: A swash plate 23 faces a cylinder block with a tilt angle α, and a shoe 14 slidably comes into contact with the surface. In this case, a symmetrical pair of cylindrical curved convex surfaces 24 are formed in a surface part of the swash plate 23, and these convexes 24 are fitted in a cylindrical curved concave surface 25 formed in the side of an inner wall surface of a casing 1. And, plural cylindrical rolling elements 26 are interposed between both these surfaces 24 and 25, and each rolling element 26 is held by a strip holding member 27 so as to keep up a distance with each other. With this constitution, load acting on the swash plate 23 from a cylinder unit via the shoe 14 is received by each rolling elements 26, thus the tilting operation of the swash plate 23 is smoothly and accurately performed and, what is more, its service life is prolonged.
