Abstract:
To obtain a daily usable low-calorie sweetener composition having excellent sweetness quality with touch of a material, and to provide food and drink containing the sweetener composition.
The sweetener composition contains 0.01-0.43 pt.wt., preferably 0.03-0.25 pt.wt., of D-xylose per 1 pt.wt. sugar alcohol. Food, confectionery, drink, pharmaceutical preparations, quasi drugs and seasoning each containing the sweeter compositions are also provided.
