Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a swimming cap favorable in color and gloss, also excellent in weather resistance by incorporating a uncured silicone rubber with each specified proportion of a pearl pigment and white pigment followed by curing in a mold.
CONSTITUTION: The objective swimming cap can be obtained by incorporating (A) 100 pts.wt. of a uncured silicone rubber 14-74% in the visible ray transmittance after curing with (B) 0.01-3.0 pts.wt. of a pearl pigment (e.g. titanium dioxide-coated mica foil) and (C) 0.01-2.0 pts.wt. of a white pigment (e.g. TiO2, ZnO) followed by curing in a mold.
