PURPOSE: To easily measure a swimming distance by providing a flow sensor which detects the distance moved by a swimmer as the flow rate, constructing a swimming distance measuring equipment so as to display the detected distance moved on a display section, and mounting it on the body of the swimmer by means of a mounting belt or the like.

CONSTITUTION: The swimming distance measuring equipment is provided with a swimming distance measuring equipment 1 which can be attached to the waist of the swimmer by means of a mounting belt B. The swimming distance measuring equipment 1 is provided with a flow rate sensor section 5 changing the flow of water taken from an intake 6a at the time of swimming into the rotation of a rotor fin 7A and detecting the distance moved by the swimmer as the flow rate a display section 3 displaying the detected swimming distance, and a reset switch 4. The flow rate sensor section 5 is provided with a detection circuit which detects the swimming distance by processing a pulse signal to be outputted from a read switch 9 basing on the rotation of a magnet 8 integrally provided on the rotor fin 7A. The circuit as well as a power supply section and integrating circuits is built in a watertight structure section 11.
