PURPOSE: To obtain a swimming suit having excellent light resistance and recognition of beauty, comprising knit fabric of consisting of elastic yarn composed of a specific polyester diol or polycarbonate diol type polyurethane and thermoplastic multifilament yarn having no crimp.
CONSTITUTION: A swimming suit comprising knit fabric of consisting of (A) a polyurethane prepared by polymerizing a polymer diol such as polyester diol shown by formula I (R1 is 6-10C alkylene containing one branched methyl; R2 is organic group) having 1,000-3,500 molecular weight or a polycarbonate diol shown by formula II, in which 6 ≤ number of total carbons/(number of ester bonds or number of carbonate bonds) ≤ 1 and 0.015 ≤ number of methine groups/number of total carbon ≤ 0.13 (number of total carbons is number of carbons obtained after removing carbons contained in ester bond or carbonate bond n polymer diol) are satisfied, with an organic diisocyanate and a chain extender and (B) thermoplastic multifilament yarn having ≤5% crimp value (K1) and having ≥90% chlorine-resistant strength retention and ≥60% light- resistant strength retention.
