Title:
SWINGING PRACTICE DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2008307090
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide swinging practice device capable of increasing the head speed by gradually applying resistance step by step without giving a sense of discomfort to a user, instead of applying the resistance at once at the start such as in a conventional method of applying loads of a weight etc. to sports practice equipment for strengthening the physical power.

A hollow part 1 is formed in a baseball bat, for example. An orifice 2 is attached to the hollow part 1, and an appropriate quantity of a viscous liquid 3 for the weight is injected into the orifice. When the swinging practice is performed with the bat, the resistance is not applied at once to the wrist and arm of the user at the start of the practice. The viscous liquid 3 for the weight gradually flows through the orifice 2 in the hollow part 1 of the bat according to the movement of the bat swing, and the resistance is applied to the wrist and arm of the user as the viscous liquid 3 is moved toward the distal end of the bat to increase the head speed.
