Switches are connected to an apparatus or a circuit opened or closed by the switches through this switch control device without directly connecting the switches to the apparatus or the circuit. Resistors having resistance values different from one another on a switch basis are connected in parallel with contacts of the switches, and a voltage value across both ends of each resistor in a state where the switch is opened is detected, whereby the individual switches are discriminated from one another.
