To provide a switch device capable of efficiently lighting an operation button.
This switch device is provided with a switch element 70, the operation button rotationally displaced around a prescribed rotating shaft 34 for pressing and operating the switch element 70, an illumination light source 80 for lighting the operation button, a light guide 40 for guiding the light emitted from the illumination light source 80 to a back side of the operation button, a holding member 60 for holding the light guide 40 displaceably in the displaying direction of the operation button 30 in such a state that an angle of incident light to the light guide 4, of each light beam emitted from the illumination light source 80 is kept roughly constant, and a biasing member 73 for providing the light guide 40 with biasing force toward the operation button 30 to make the light guide 40 close to the operation button 30 while allowing the light guide 40 to displace in the direction same as the displacing direction of the operation button 30 in accompany with the rotational displacement of the operation button 30.
