To provide a switch device which makes load control based on a wireless signal invalid and can maintain a desired load condition.
The switch device is equipped with an operating switch 27 which outputs an operating signal corresponding to an operation condition of the operating part, a wireless signal transmission and receiving part which receives a wireless signal with radio wave as a medium, a switch element which is capable of opening and closing a power supply line from a power supply to an illumination load L, a control part to perform opening and closing control of the switch element, and a load control part. The control part, when the operating part detects the operating signal accompanying a long pushing operation wherein the operating part is pushed for a specified time Ts specified beforehand, moves from a normal mode in which it performs opening and closing control of the switch element based on the operating signal or wireless signal accompanying a short pushing operation wherein the operating part is pushed for less than the specified time Ts to a prohibition mode in which it does not perform the opening and closing control of the switch element based on the wireless signal, and maintains the opening and closing condition of the switch element in a state before the long pushing operation.
