PURPOSE: To support/install a coil spring with/on a switch body without dislocating it from a fixed position even if the coil spring with low stiffness is used in the orthogonal direction to the extending and contracting direction.

CONSTITUTION: A contact holder 3 arranged so as to be able to reciprocate to a case 5 is a push type switch device energized in the direction for the projecting part 3a to project from the case 5 by a coil spring 4. A hole 13 is formed in the holder 3 so as to be communicated with an inner wall in the vicinity of an opening part 12a in an inserting hole 12 in/with which the coil spring 4 is inserted/supported from the outer wall. In this constitution, when the coil spring 4 inserted in the inserting hole 12 is compressed and for example, one end is temporarily hooked in and fastened to the hole 13, the spring 4 is housed without bringing it into sliding contact with an inner wall surface of the case 5, and when temporary hooking fastening is released, it can be supported with and installed in a fixed position of the case 5.
