To provide a switch that can be smoothly actuated by restraining rattling of a slide switch operation part of a slide type switch.

A switch has: a slide switch mounted at an end of a substrate, and actuated by sliding a grip part along a surface of the substrate; and a slide switch operation part provided movably in a sliding direction of the grip part between the end of the substrate and a case covering the substrate, and operating the slide switch by operating a knob exposed from an opening of the case and sliding the knob. The slide switch operation part has: a plate-like base part that is approximately vertical to the surface of the substrate and whose one face is provided along an inner wall of the case; a grip holding part provided on the other face of the base part to hold the grip part; and a substrate holding part provided on the other face of the base part to hold the substrate between it and the grip holding part.
