To provide a switch which despite being simple in structure can prevent dust and liquid from infiltrating into the inside of a basket from the outside of the basket, and to provide an electronic device having the switch.
A switch 50 is provided in the basket 12 of a device 10 and operates a keytop 54. In this case, the keytop 54 is located from the opening of the basket 12 to the outside of the basket 12, a switch body 52 actuated by the keytop 54 is located within the basket 12, and a foreign substance- intrusion preventing element composing material 70 which prevents liquid or dust from infiltrating into the inside of the basket 12 through the opening 80 of the basket by being pushed for its arrangement to the inner surface of the basket 12 from the side of the switch body 52 and located between the keytop 54 and the main switch body 52 is provided.
