Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a switch that implements both of high speed electrode opening and high speed electrode closing without increasing size of an electromagnetic drive device.SOLUTION: A switch makes, in electrode opening operation, excitation current for generating a magnetic flux for strengthening a magnetic flux of a permanent magnet 105 flow in a first coil 104 while making excitation current for generating a magnetic flux for cancelling the magnetic flux of the permanent magnet 105 flow in a second coil 103; and makes, in electrode closing operation, excitation current for generating a magnetic flux for cancelling the magnetic flux of the permanent magnet 105 flow in the first coil 104 while making excitation current for generating a magnetic flux for strengthening the magnetic flux of the permanent magnet 105 flow in a second coil 103. The speed of rising of the excitation current for generating a magnetic flux for canceling the magnetic flux of the permanent magnet 105 is made to be higher than that of the excitation current for generating a magnetic flux for strengthening the magnetic flux of the permanent magnet 105.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
