To provide a high-reliability switch; and to provide a power inverter using it.

This switch is provided with a board 1, a signal wire 2, a support base 3, a fixing member 4, a drive part 5 and a contact electrode 6. The signal wire 2 and the support base 3 are arranged in a predetermined region on the board 1. One end of the fixing member 4 is arranged on the support base 3, and the fixing member 4 extends up to the position of the signal wire 2 in a form parallel to the board 1. On the lower side (board 1 side) at the other end of the fixing member 4, the drive part 5 is arranged at a position facing to the signal wire 2, and the contact electrode 6 is further mounted on its lower side. The contact electrode 6 faces the signal wire 2 through a predetermined gap. In this case, the drive part 5 is formed of a stacked piezoelectric element, and has a characteristic extending or contracting from a state where a voltage is not applied thereto when the voltage is applied thereto. The contact electrode 6 displaces in conjunction with the extending direction of the drive part 5.
