This push/slide switch is formed into a structure comprising: a base 2 for holding a plurality of sliding fixed terminals 10-12 and a plurality of pushing fixed terminals 13 and 14; a cover 3 having an opening 29 for a knob and covering the base 2; a slide contact 7 movable in the lateral direction and arranged oppositely to the sliding fixed contacts 10-12 for changing over connection among the sliding fixed contacts 10-12 by lateral movement; a dish-shaped moving contact 8 arranged oppositely to the pushing fixed contacts 13 and 14, and elastically inverted when its center is depressed to change over connection between the pushing fixed contacts 13 and 14; and an operation member 6 having a knob part 24 projecting to the outside through the opening 29 for a knob of the cover 3, housed in the cover 3 by covering the slide contact 7 and the dish-shaped moving contact 8, slidable in the lateral direction together with the slide contact 7, and movable in the vertical direction for depressing the dish-shaped moving contact 8 when depressed in the push direction.
