To provide a light-weight and compact openable/closable dust collecting hood.
This switchable dust collecting hood is equipped with a duct connecting opening 22 and a dust collecting opening 23 formed on the upper and the lower part of the hood respectively and an annular frame connecting ring 26 is installed on the outer peripheral face of a dust collecting box 20 equipped with a pipe up and down guide cylinder through which a spray pipe freely ascends and descends. In addition, the base parts of plural cloth fitting frames 27-36 are pivotally connected to the frame connecting ring 26 at an interval in the circumferential direction in such a manner that the bases are freely rotatable on the level. The cloth fitting frames 27-36 are radially stretched around the dust collecting box 20 under such a state that a lid is closed. At the same time, the tip parts of the cloth fitting frames 27-36 are aligned in parallel in such a state that the tip parts are faced in the same direction with the lid opened. Besides, heat-resistant clothes 38, 39 are tensely hooked between the cloth fitting frames 27-36. These heat-resistant clothes 38, 39 are spread in a polygonal or a circular form when the lid is closed.
