To make rise of torque steep by tapering teeth having a projected shape on the rotor side and/or on the stator side, so that the teeth are narrowed toward the teeth on the stator side and/or on the rotor side opposed thereto, and concentrating magnetic fluxes on the teeth tip side.
Projected portions (teeth) on a rotor 1 side and on a stator 2 side are tapered, so that the projected portions are narrowed toward the projected portions (teeth) on the stator 2 side and on the rotor 1 side opposite thereto. Since the reluctance motor is constituted so that magnetic flux is concentrated on the teeth tip side, rise in torque with respect to deviation of position (angle) between the stator teeth and the rotor teeth, and output torque is increased. Therefore, a small-sized and high-performance switched reluctance motor is obtained. Since torque ripples are reduced and pulsation in torque is abridged accordingly, a switched reluctance motor, wherein vibration and noise are effectively prevented and rotation is quiet and smooth, is obtained.
