Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To open/close, in a carrier door of vertically opening/closing type, the exit/entrance of a carrier without lowering the door below the floor of the door and to lower the carrier to a position where the floor of the carrier is in contact with the base surface of an elevator installation place or where the floor is closest to the base surface.SOLUTION: In an elevator including a carrier 15 that is lifted/lowered along a guide rail, a device for opening/closing a door for providing the carrier for an entrance/exit comprises: at least one motor 37 installed in the upper part of the carrier; and a transmission mechanism 25 composed of a drive gear using the motor as a power source, a follower gear provided on the carrier side near to the lower part of the closed door, and a chain wound around the drive gear and the follower gear. In a closed position of the door, the lower part of the door is lowered near to the floor of the carrier. In an open position, the door is lifted above the carrier so as to open the entrance/exit 30.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
