Abstract:
PURPOSE: To realize a switching circuit using an MOSFET which can reduce the dimension of a switching element without increasing an ON resistance as the element.
CONSTITUTION: In the switching circuit to switch the transmitted and received signals of an ultrasonic image pickup device while serially connecting the two MOSFET, a first MOSFET (a) is formed on the surface of a silicone substrate and equipped with a draining area, which a part is vertically extended, having low (n) type impurity concentration, and a second MOSFET (b) is provided with extremely low breakdown strength between the source and the drain in comparison with the first MOSFET (a).
