To solve a problem that when elongating and contracting a rectangular piezoelectric film, since the length of a diagonal line becomes longer than a side length, a phenomenon occurs such that a part corresponding to the corner of the piezoelectric film of a piezoelectric actuator largely bends, causing the corner part of the piezoelectric actuator to come into contact with an opposing member earlier than the movable contact of the piezoelectric actuator and resulting in an unstable connection of the movable contact of the piezoelectric actuator with a fixed contact.
A switching device electrically connects a fixed contact with a movable contact. The switching device includes: a movable end on which a movable contact is provided; a fixed end provided at a position separated from the movable end; and a piezoelectric actuator that makes the movable contact come into contact with or alienated from the fixed contact. The width of the piezoelectric actuator at a movable end side is smaller than that at a fixed end side.
