To provide a switching device capable of suppressing occurrence of reach of lubricant to a fixed contact when the lubricant is applied in excess to a movable contact piece and ensuring a good long time switching function.

In a switching device in which an operation member 14 is disposed to perform an oscillation operation with a slider 16, so that a tip of the slider 16 is slid on a movable contact piece 8 and thereby the movable contact piece 8 is slid, the contact state of the movable contact piece 8 is switched for fixed contacts 5 and 7 by the oscillation, and lubricant 11 that improves sliding of the slider 16 to the movable contact piece 8 is provided between the tip of the slider 16 and the movable contact piece 8, a hole (discharge hole) 9 that discharges the excess of the lubricant 11 is provided on a portion of the movable contact piece 8, which is against the tip of the slider 16 in the normal state.
