Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a switching heat accumulative type heat exchanger in which a high heat transfer amount as well as a temperature efficiency can be assured, its entire volume can be made small, its performance is high and its size is compact.
CONSTITUTION: A first and a second switching heat accumulative type heat exchangers in a high period switching type heat accumulation combustion system are constructed such that a switching time τ of a four-way valve is set to be less than 60 seconds, and they have a clearance rate ε indicating a maximum value (Q/V)max in a volumetric efficiency (Q/V). A temperature efficiency ηt is st to a set value ranging from 0.7 to 1.0. A heat transfer coefficient and a heat transfer area are set such that the temperature efficiency calculated as a function of a heat transfer coefficient (h), a heat transfer area A and a switching time τ may correspond to the aforesaid set value. The first and second heat exchangers have a pitch P and a wall thickness (b) of a cell wall corresponding to the aforesaid clearance efficiency, heat transfer coefficient and heat transfer area.
